Operations General Manager

Job Location: Madison, Wisconsin

We are looking for an Operations General Manager for an agronomy retailer in South/Central Wisconsin. The role includes supervision of personnel, procurement, safety, product inventory, maintenance programs, project management, product integrity, member relationships, and regulatory and compliance. Must have experience with grain shuttle facilities and agronomy operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and monitor financial results
  • Manage daily operational processes, coordination, and efficiencies
  • Supervise efficient loading and unloading of merchandise
  • Lead budgeting, financial planning, and monitor expenses
  • Highly accurate inventory management
  • Manage, direct, and motivate personnel in day-to-day operations
  • Coordinate training and development opportunities for personnel
  • Enforce safety and all policies and procedures
  • Coordinate operations activities ensuring goals are accomplished timely and efficiently
  • Facilitate seasonal staffing needs and delegate workload accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in agriculture, operations, or related field
  • Five years agriculture and operations experience and personnel management
  • Strong communication skills
